## About this gift

Disappointing Affirmations is a funny gift book for anyone who isn't happy all the time. It suits the friend who finds positive thinking hard, or anyone who would rather laugh than pretend. A witty pick for birthdays, housewarmings and thank you gifts.

Its 96 pages pair affirmations with vacation photos the author took himself. The sayings are self-critical, encouraging, disillusioned or all three, and they spotlight feelings people often keep hidden. Dave Tarnowski, creator of the Instagram account @disappointingaffirmations, wrote it. The hardback measures 186 x 135 x 16 mm.

Unfold the jacket for a motivational poster, ready to display anywhere disappointment may strike. A book for days when nothing goes to plan, told with humour, wit and empathy. Christmas stockings suit a book this honest about bad days. Give Disappointing Affirmations to the friend who keeps saying they're fine.
